Untruth

Remember when I said that I was done with Polaroids for a while?  It turns out that was an untruth.  (Photo cred to the one on the left goes to Jake.)

Due to Magicube troubles, I think it might be time to take some pictures outside in the bright bright sunshine.

In other news: I’ve been playing with old cameras a lot lately, so I’ll have lots of things to post soon.  I’ve also realized that I haven’t finished anything lately.  I guess I’m still learning how to be a grownup artist that doesn’t go to school.  And today I just started what will hopefully be a series of embroideries (if there is a question mark floating over your head, that is completely justified.  But, trust in trusting).

Belated birthdays

Happy belated birthday to my mister!  Here is a picture of him looking like a chipmunk a little bit.  He doesn’t really look like a chipmunk though.

Also, I have been posting here since April 2010, more than a year now!  So, happy birthday to this blog.

Hope you’re having a nice weekend.  Tomorrow’s my penultimate day of lifeguard training class (phew), and then I’ll be letterpressing away for the rest of the day.  xoxo

Let me tell you about my yard sale

The yard sale was a super fun day.  I am full of thanks for friends and family and strangers.  Especially thanks to Kaleb and Jack and Micah for buying lots of prints and artwork, and to my pops and Jake and my grandma for hanging out with me all day.  Friends (and fam!) are great!  And so are the paper bag paintings that I made three years ago (and forgot existed) that Kaleb purchased.

What’s old is new, what’s new is… old?

I just learned about Poladroid.  So now I can take digiphotos and make them look like Polaroids!  Isn’t it nice to sidestep the stress and expense that is ebay shopping?  Whee.

PS DON’T WORRY I will not stop taking Polaroids for realsies.  In case you were worried.

PPS Photo cred for the third photo (Little Mom surprised!) goes to Harold.  xoxo
