Guys! Guys! I finished the animation, finally. I ended up with 188 hand-colored intaglio prints made from nine different plates. I made the music/sound in Frooty Loops and mixed it in Audacity.
I finished making intaglio prints for my animations (170! total), and they’re all scanned and assembled. I just have to make music/sound, and it’ll be complete. After three months of printing, it’s really nice to see this all come together. I will post it on Vimeo as soon as it’s ready.
I made a new hexaflexagon yesterday. What is going on here? you ask. The supergreat Nick Bunch gave me his unwanted proofs from litho, which I tore down and made into a hexaflexagon, which I then printed intaglio over. Yikes!
I wish you could see this in person.
Also, tomorrow I am going to Minneapolis to attend the Mid-America Print Council Conference. I am so full of excitement to geek out about printmaking for four days. So… I’ll have cool things to post next week!
